Keep showing up.
Amity Warme did not start climbing until college and was hooked immediately. She has lived in a van for nearly nine years, traveling most of the year between climbing destinations, mostly in the western US and Canada, with the Whetstone gym in Fort Collins as home base.
She likes hard work and ambitious goals, from free climbing El Cap to projecting hard sport routes. This summer she worked on the first ascent of Time Is Dancing, a new 10-pitch 5.14a in the Wind River Range, carrying her gear nine miles in. Her current projects: The Path, a 5.14 R trad route; a 5.14b sport route; and another free route on El Cap.
She also works as a sports dietitian, helping other athletes use nutrition to support performance and long-term health.
Amity is a member of the Rhino ambassador team.
