Ten years of not slipping.
A lead final is one route, one attempt, and a field of women who can all climb it. Janja Garnbret has spent a decade making that look routine. She won her first senior World Cup in 2016, at seventeen. In 2019 she won all six bouldering World Cups, which nobody had done. In Tokyo she became the first Olympic champion in climbing, and three years later in Paris she kept the title.
The records keep arriving. Ten world titles, the last two in Seoul in 2025. A 50th World Cup gold in Innsbruck in June 2026, then a 51st at home in Koper in September. Between seasons she has kept a second career on rock: the first woman to onsight an 8c, and in June 2026 the first woman up Bibliographie, a 9b+ at Céüse.
Rhino has been in her bag for much of that. Janja joined the team in 2021, and the product she comes back to is Hydrate, the spray she knows as Spit. Her hands run very dry. Skin that dry turns glassy and skates off the hold, which climbers call dry-firing, and Hydrate is how she keeps it from happening.
She has said so on the record. On the Enormocast in April 2022 she told Chris Kalous she was a customer before she was an ambassador, and would keep buying the products if the sponsorship ended. In an interview that June she put Rhino Skin Spray on her short list of training must-haves, next to her shoes and chalk.
