Sweaty Palms on the Keyboard: PC Gaming Hand Care
PC gaming · Skin is gear

Sweaty palms on the keyboard. Mouse slipping in the clutch round.

Ranked at 11 PM, hands running warm, the mouse sliding on the pad and the keycaps slick by the third match. Sweat costs reaction time and aim. Here is the night-before fix that keeps palms dry through a session, and what to do for hands that cramp at the four-hour mark.

Skin is gear
Why hands sweat at the desk

Heat, nerves and a plastic mouse.

Palms sweat more under pressure than under heat, and a ranked match is pressure. The hand on the mouse has nowhere to breathe, the pad soaks it up until it does not, and the keyboard hand gets slick on the keycaps. Grip tape and finger sleeves manage the symptom. The sweat is still there.

Rhino's sweat cream came out of climbing, where a wet hand means a fall. Applied the night before, it keeps palms dry through a long session without feeling like anything is on the hand. That is the whole trick. The rest of the kit is for the hand that cramps and the skin that cracks in a dry room in winter. Same product the pros use on rock.
