A split at the base of a finger ends a session faster than a pumped forearm. Split Balm is a thick, occlusive balm built to seal cracks, gobies, and windburned skin so they close instead of reopening on the next crimp.

How to Use It

Work a small amount directly into the split and the skin around it. Apply before bed for overnight repair, or during the day whenever a crack starts opening back up. The beeswax base holds it in place instead of rubbing off on your gear.

FAQs

Split is the balm — a thick, waxy stick that seals a crack shut and stays put. Split+ is the cream, with calendula, beta glucan, and L-carnosine for deeper tissue repair. Many climbers use Split+ overnight and the Split balm during the day.

Yes — that's what it's for. Clean the area first, then work the balm into the crack. The tea tree oil provides antibacterial protection while the beeswax seals it from dirt and chalk.

Apply it sparingly and only to the split itself, not across your whole tip. It's an occlusive balm, so a heavy coat will cost you friction. Most climbers apply between burns or after the session.

It depends on depth and whether you keep reopening it. Consistent application — especially overnight — gives the skin the sealed, moist environment it needs to knit back together.

I had some split skin at the corner of my lips, probably from dryness, which had been persisting for over a week. It's such a hard place to heal because of the constant movement your mouth produces (eating, breathing, talking etc) . Got one of these, and the next day the cut was closed. FROM OPEN TO SHUT . It was so fast, can't recommend it enough. I never write reviews but this is worthy. 6/5

overwhelming scent of tea tree

i ordered the split 3.5 oz size. The scent of tea tree is so overwhelming to me I had to dilute the product. The pump container is hard to get started, and tedious to use. It's also - to me - an overwrought, unnecessary design feature. For the price, I won't be making another purchase.

Sorry to hear of your experiance with our products. Our products contain wat works and nothing else. the Airless container is very important to keep the product fresh and uncontaminated. Air ingress is a primary contaminant of many other cosmetic products.

Chapstick for your cuts, cuticles and skin cracks. Easily applied, smells nice. Its not some insane healing ointment but it IS a way to moisturize sensitive wounds, works great for its intended purpose 👍 i apply a bandaid with this sometimes to avoid a dry wound which in turn heals cleaner

Love this stuff! Whether you're a climber or just someone dealing with dry, cracked skin, the Split Stick works amazingly well. I apply a bit before bed, cover it with a bandaid, and within 24–48 hours the split is closed up and well on its way to healing. It's seriously impressive. Usually brush burns from the climbing gym take a long time to heal. This stuff kept the scrape looking healthy and it faded much better than usual. Helps a lot on my dry, split fingertips too
